When it comes to the city with the best drivers in the United States, Pittsburgh isn't even close, according to the annual Allstate Insurance Best Drivers report.
Among the 194 cities ranked, Pittsburgh comes in at 173, five slots worse than its 2012 ranking of 168.
Specifically, the report states that Pittsburgh-area drivers average just over seven years between accidents and are 38-percent more likely to be involved in an accident when compared to drivers nationwide.
The best drivers in the country, according to Allstate are:
1. Fort Collins, CO
2. Boise, ID
3. Sioux Falls, SD
4. Brownsville, TX
5. Madison, WI
At the bottom of the list are:
194. Washington, DC
193. Baltimore, MD
192. Providence, RI
191. Hialeah, FL
190. Glendale, CA
Allstate said that it based the study on two years data to minimize the effects of phenomena like a bad winter or a long summer construction season, and the list reflects weighted averages of property-damage claims.
