Recent Results from Magisterial District Court 05-2-17

The following results are from recent hearings held in the Caste Village office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:

• Baldwin Township police charged Timothy Hramika, 27, of Knight Drive in South Park Township, with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 11. Hramika's Sept. 20 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 4.

• Baldwin Township police charged Sarah Daft, 46, of Fortuna Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, with suspicion of DUI on July 30. Daft's Sept. 27 hearing before Barton was waived, and she will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 15. UPDATE: Rescheduled for March 14.

• Baldwin Township police charged Gentry Zollars, 25, of Stonewood Drive in Bethel Park, with suspicion of DUI, speeding and failure to drive on the right side of the road on July 30. Zollars' Sept. 27 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 15.

• Whitehall Borough police charged Michael Scarnati, 19, of 1701 Parkline Drive, Apt. 12, in the Whitehall Place Apartments complex, with disorderly conduct on Aug. 20. Scarnati pled guilty to the charge in front of Barton on Sept. 27 and paid a $239.50 total fine.

• Whitehall police charged Scott Thomas Zajac, 30, of 2842 Mary St. in Pittsburgh's South Side area, with possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 21. Zajac's Sept. 27 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 15.

• Whitehall police charged Jamie Lynn Reis, 28, of 3783 Churchview Ave. in Baldwin Borough, with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on June 22 after Reis was found lying in distress on the floor of the ladies bathroom at the Route 51 Eat'n Park that day. Reis' Sept. 27 hearing before Barton was waived, and she will face her charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 15.

• Cindy Inverso, 46, of Magnolia Court in Bethel Park, faces charges of DUI, failing to obey a stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road stemming from a July 2 incident in Baldwin Township. She faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 30, where it was determined that her case will now be part of a docket conference scheduled for Nov. 14. That conference should result in the next legal step for Inverso's charges.

• Baldwin Township police charged Dana McGinnis, 42, of 2732 Crosby Ave. in Dormont Borough, with possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, possession of narcotics and failure to drive on the right side of the road on July 15. McGinnis' Aug. 16 hearing before Barton was waived, and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 30. On Sept. 30, it was determined that McGinnis will face a pre-trial conference on Nov. 23.

• Whitehall police charged Michael Joel Castoreno, 31, of 1821 Parkline, Apt. 30, in the Whitehall Place Apartments complex, with simple assault, criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another person on Aug. 7. It was determined on Aug. 16 that Castoreno would face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 30. On Sept. 30, it was determined that he will face a pre-trial conference on Nov. 10.

Also:

• The Dormont-Brookline Patch reported that Pittsburgh police arrested Richard Petro, 47, of 4601 W. Barlind Drive in Whitehall, for suspicion of DUI in the 1200 block of Brookline Blvd. on July 31. Petro pled guilty, was fined a total of $1,370.50 and was sentenced to five days in jail and six months of probation.
