Pair of Boys Stopped by Police While Walking on Baptist Early Tuesday Morning

The boys were violating curfew.

A Whitehall Borough police officer stopped a pair of boys who were walking on Baptist Road near the Baldwin Community United Methodist Church at around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday to check on their safety, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said.

The boys told the officer that they were headed to the Caste Village Giant Eagle and that they were not aware that the grocery store was closed at that time of the night.

The boys were in violation of borough curfew and had been stopped and warned previously for the same offense, Dolfi said.
