Harassment, Assault Charges for Pleasant Hills Man in Whitehall

The arrested turned himself in to police, Whitehall police Chief Donald Dolfi said.

Whitehall Borough police officers went to the 1600 block of Parkline Drive in the Wallace (Prospect) Park area at around 10:12 p.m. on July 25 in response to a disturbance call, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said.

On their way to the 1600 block, police received a description of a man in his vehicle leaving that area. Some police officers began searching for that vehicle, while others went to the place of the disturbance, Dolfi said.

At the disturbance area, police made contact with a woman who said that a man assaulted her before leaving. She also then offered a description to police, according to the chief.

The woman showed visible bruising about her neck and face area, Dolfi said, and officers documented that evidence by photographing it.

A short time later, police made contact with a suspect—Matthew James Moore, 27, of Temona Drive in Pleasant Hills Borough—who eventually turned himself in at the Whitehall police station during the early morning of July 26, Dolfi said.
