Court Updates: Baldwin Township DUIs & Four Whitehall Incidents

The following results are from recent hearings held in the Caste Village office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:

 

Baldwin Township Charges

  • Baldwin Township police charged Linda Nania, 41, of 1257 McNeilly Ave. in Dormont Borough, with driving under the influence of alcohol on April 27. Nania's June 5 hearing before Barton was waived, and she faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on July 20. Her case was then part of a Dec. 5 docket conference. Nania pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four days of confinement.

  • Baldwin Township police charged Tracey Gross, 37, of Brevard Avenue in Brentwood Borough, with DUI on June 16. Gross' Aug. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and she faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Oct. 4, where she was granted a Nov. 30 ARD hearing. She was then sentenced to 12 months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Paul Louis Dalessandro, 51, of Audbert Drive in Whitehall Borough, with DUI on March 10. Dalessandro's July 10 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Aug. 22. His case was then part of a Dec. 4 docket conference. Dalessandro pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four days of confinement.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Todd Rebholz, 39, of Chelton Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, with DUI on Oct. 5. Rebholz's Dec. 11 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 30.

 

Whitehall Borough Charges


  • Whitehall Borough police charged Donald Dwyer, 22, of 1218 Rossner Ave. in Duquesne, with attempted theft from a vehicle and loitering or prowling at night on July 22. Dwyer's Aug. 14 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Oct. 30, where he was scheduled for a Dec. 7 pretrial conference. He will now face a non-jury trial starting on Jan. 23.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Julian Morris, 22, of 1821 Skyline Dr., Apt. 21, in Whitehall's Wallace (Prospect) Park area, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of instruments of crime and criminal conspiracy on Aug. 28. They also charged—from the same encounter—Kenneth Anderson, 19, of 1013 Imperial Dr. in South Park Township, and Clinton Webb, 20, of 207 Parkford Dr. in South Park, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy. . Barton held Morris' remaining charges on Oct. 9, and Morris faced them at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 27, where he was scheduled for a Dec. 21 pretrial conference. He will now face a non-jury trial starting on Feb. 28.

 

  • Whitehall police charged Roberta Lynn Black, 41, of 1030 Grand Ave. in Pittsburgh's Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood, with possession of drug paraphernalia and attempted retail theft on Nov. 7. Black's Nov. 20 hearing before Barton was canceled, and she will face those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Jan. 3 (UPDATE: rescheduled for Feb. 11).

 

  • Whitehall police charged Jaga Upreti, 26, of 1620 Skyline Dr., Apt. 3, in the Whitehall Place Apartments complex of the Prospect Park area, with on Nov. 7. On Dec. 11, Barton granted the withdrawal of the aggravated assault and disorderly conduct charges, and the remaining charges were waived for Allegheny County Court, where Upreti is scheduled to appear on Jan. 30.
