Fatal Hit-and-Run Near Route 51 Cloverleaf

Allegheny County police are looking for two vehicles involved.

The Allegheny County Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian that occurred near the Route 51 cloverleaf on the border of  and Pleasant Hills boroughs on Thursday.

The victim was Robert Stockdale, 50, of Stowe Township.

County police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the two vehicles involved in the incident, which happened at around 8:40 p.m., and their drivers. One of the vehicles is a 2003-2007 white Chevrolet Express van or GMC Savana. The van will be missing its passenger's-side sideview mirror.

The second vehicle involved is small and dark, but no further information about it is available at this time.

Both vehicles were last seen heading north toward Pittsburgh on Route 51 just past the cloverleaf.
