'Burglary in Progress' Thwarted at Prospect Park Residence

The incident happened early on Tuesday morning, and police took the accused to the county jail.

Whitehall Borough police officers arrested a would-be burglar in the 1600 block of Skyline Drive in the Wallace (Prospect) Park area on Tuesday morning, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said.

Officers were sent to that block at around 12:54 a.m. in response to a call from a woman there complaining that a man was trying to break in through her residence's windows.

The officers arrived with the "burglary in progress," Dolfi said, and went on foot toward the rear of the caller's building. At that point, they discovered Dwayne Shaquille O'Neal, 20, of nearby Parkline Drive, with both of his hands on the ground-floor window of the caller's residence.
