Brookline Woman Arrested for DUI in Baldwin Township

The driver was stopped during roving DUI patrols.

As part of the Mt. Lebanon Area DUI Task Force,  police stopped a vehicle being driven by Kristen McCracken, 39, of 857 Norwich Ave. in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, for erratic driving at around 2:06 a.m. on Sunday.

McCracken was stopped in the 400 block of McNeilly Road, where the reporting police officer detected a strong odor of alcohol upon conversing with her, according to Sgt. Marty Conroy. Conroy said that McCracken also admitted to recently drinking alcohol.

The officer put McCracken through field-sobriety tests, which she failed, before arresting her and taking her to  for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

Police are charging McCracken with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
