Bethel Park Man Arrested in Baldwin Borough

Incident occurred early on Sunday morning.

A officer observed a man driving erratically near 's Brownsville Road-Knoedler Road intersection at around 12:52 a.m. on Sunday.

The officer eventually stopped the motorist—Jeffrey Krause, 52, of Wallace Avenue in Bethel Park—at the Brownsville-Hacienda Drive intersection and smelled alcohol upon conversing with Krause, according to a police report.

The officer also reported that Krause admitted to recently drinking alcohol.

Krause was put through field-sobriety and breath-analyzer tests, which he failed, before being arrested and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

He was then taken to the Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a blood test (results pending) before being taken home.

Robert – do you know what happened at the intersection of Brownsville Road and Carlyn yesterday evening? It seemed to be pretty serious as there were many ambulances, police units, and fire people on the scene. I hope no one was injured very badly. God Bless you all and keep you safe today and all the days of your lives.
