Baldwin Woman Arrested
A officer stopped motorist Dana Lynn Lachman, 30, of Hamlet Court in , for erratic driving while heading north on Curry Hollow Road at around 1:43 a.m. on Friday.
Lachman was stopped in a Walgreens parking lot just over the Pleasant Hills Borough border, where the officer smelled alcohol coming from her, according to a police report.
Lachman failed field-sobriety and breath-analyzer tests and was arrested and taken to the Baldwin police station, where she twice failed additional breath-analyzer tests before being released to the custody of her boyfriend.
Police are charging her with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Wilkinsburg Man Arrested
A Baldwin police officer stopped motorist Challenge Sam Gaines, 37, of Ardmore Boulevard in Wilkinsburg Borough, for not obeying a traffic light at the Becks Run Road-Agnew Road intersection and for speeding on Becks Run at around 2:42 a.m. on Thursday.
Gaines was stopped nearby at the Wagner Street-Mountain Street intersection on the border of Pittsburgh's Mt. Oliver and St. Clair neighborhoods, where the officer smelled alcohol coming from him, according to a police report.
Gaines failed some field-sobriety tests and a breath-analyzer test and was arrested and taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.
He was eventually released to the custody of the passenger of his vehicle at her residence in the Knoxville neighborhood.
Police are charging Gaines with suspicion of DUI.
