Click It or Ticket

police will participate in a national Click It or Ticket mobilization from Nov. 18 to Dec. 4. This year's theme is "Cracking Down on Seat Belt Use—Especially at Night."

At least 75 percent of all seat belt enforcement this year will take place during nighttime hours, including the use of traffic enforcement zones, according to a release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Six hundred municipal police departments in Pennsylvania and the state police department will participate in the program. That is the greatest number of Pennsylvania departments ever mobilized for seat belt enforcement.

Police will also continue to enforce Pennsylvania's seat belt law 24 hours per day and seven days per week.

Any time that you are stopped and cited for a traffic violation, you will receive a second citation if you are not wearing a seat belt.
