Baldwin Township Police Briefs (March 18-31)

Police report two incidents at Dollar General.

The arrested Michael E. Dipippa on March 24 after Dipippa allegedly shoplifted two bottles of laundry detergent from the Dollar General location on Sussex Avenue.

Store representatives called Baldwin Township police after reporting that they saw Dipippa, 46, of Southcrest Drive in the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh, walk out of their store at approximately 2:02 p.m. that day with the stolen goods.

Police received a description of Dipippa and tracked him down in Brookline, where he was arrested. Baldwin Township police Chief Terrence P. O'Brien said that Dipippa had the particular laundry detergent bottles in question on him and that he could not provide a receipt for the items.

Dollar General came calling again on March 26. Baldwin Township police arrived at the store at approximately 8:16 p.m. that day after receiving a harassment report.

Police cited Daniel Hancock Jr., 20, of Oakridge Street in Brookline, and Maxwell Brenner, 18, of Bernard Street in Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood, for the alleged harassment of a man and a woman inside the store.
