Baldwin Township Police Briefs (July 29-Aug. 11)

A theft charge at Dollar General and three DUI arrests on McNeilly Road.

DUI on McNeilly Road, Part I

On July 30 at approximately 2:06 a.m., , in cooperation with the Mt. Lebanon Area DUI Task Force, stopped a vehicle for operating with a flat tire in 's 100 block of McNeilly Road.

Police reported detecting signs of intoxication coming from the driver of the vehicle in question—Sarah Daft, 46, of Fortuna Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood—and put Daft through field-sobriety tests, which police say that she failed.

Daft was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and taken to the Mt. Lebanon Police Department for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

On July 30 at approx 2:57 a.m., Baldwin Township police, again in cooperation with the Mt. Lebanon Area DUI Task Force, stopped a vehicle for speeding and not staying in its lane in the 100 block of McNeilly.

Police reported detecting signs of intoxication coming from the driver of the vehicle in question—Gentry Zollars, 25, of Stonewood Drive in Bethel Park—and put Zollars through field-sobriety tests, which police say that he failed.

Zollars was arrested for suspicion of DUI and taken to the Mt. Lebanon Police Department for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

He is also being charged with speeding and with failure to drive on the right side of the road.

Theft at Dollar General

On Aug. 8, Baldwin Township police charged Brittany Cannata, 20, of Berkshire Avenue in Brookline, via summons with stealing an employee's cell phone from  and attempting to sell the phone in .

Police said that Cannata stole the phone on Aug. 1 at approximately 7:30 p.m. when she was at Dollar General for a job interview.

UPDATE: Charges against Cannata of theft and receiving stolen property were , but she pled guilty in front of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17 on that day to a disorderly conduct charge and was fined a total of $397.

DUI on McNeilly, Part III

On Aug. 11 at 12:14 a.m., Baldwin Township police stopped another vehicle for operating with a flat tire in the 100 block of McNeilly.

Police reported detecting signs of intoxication coming from the driver of the vehicle in question—Timothy Hramika, 27, of Knight Drive in South Park Township—and put Hramika through field-sobriety tests, which police say that he failed.

Hramika was arrested for suspicion of DUI and taken to  for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.
