Baldwin Township Police Briefs (Feb. 22-March 9)

Chief O'Brien reports two incidents on McNeilly Road from Saturday, March 5.

McNeilly Road was was a busy place in  early on March 5, as Police Chief Terrence P. O’Brien reported two incidents coming from that road Saturday morning.

pulled over David O’Connor of Beech Road in Murrysville, Pa., for speeding in the 400 block of McNeilly at approximately 12:30 a.m. that day. An officer on the scene suspected O’Connor of being drunk and put him through field-sobriety tests before taking him to for a blood test.

Results from that blood test are pending, but O’Connor has been charged with driving under the influence, as well as speeding.

A short while later, Baldwin Township Police pulled over Andrew Lindenfelser of Helen Street in the Township of South Park for speeding in the 100 block of McNeilly at approximately 1:38 a.m. An officer on the scene reported smelling marijuana coming from Lindenfelser’s vehicle.

Lindenfelser is charged with possession of that controlled substance, as well as speeding.
