Baldwin Township Police Briefs (April 8-14)

Police charge a man with DUI on McNeilly Road.

DUI

On April 10 at approximately 2:33 a.m., a officer pulled over a vehicle in 's 100 block of McNeilly Road. The officer reported that the vehicle was operating erratically, and at times, traveling into the oncoming lane of traffic.

The officer reported that when he approached the vehicle's driver–Charles Dougherty, 34, of Berkshire Avenue in the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh–he detected an odor of alcohol coming from Dougherty's vehicle.

The officer arrested Dougherty on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and transported him to for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

Police have also charged Dougherty with failure to drive on the right side of the road.
