Baldwin Borough Police Briefs (Nov. 7-13)

Woman, 19, arrested for suspicion of DUI; license was already suspended.

police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Churchview and Wildwood avenues at approximately 9:12 p.m. on Nov. 7 for a report of someone driving erratically near that location.

Another motorist alerted police that the suspect—Carlie Marie Dudich, 19, of 215 Clover St. in Pittsburgh's South Side area—was swerving and not obeying stop signs.

Baldwin police followed Dudich's vehicle onto Brownsville Road in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood and onto Arlington Avenue in South Side. While following, Baldwin police observed Dudich driving erratically and failing to signal while turning.

Dudich was eventually pulled over by Baldwin police on Freeland Street in Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood.

A Baldwin police officer identified Dudich as having a suspended license due to a prior conviction of driving under the influence of alcohol. The officer observed Dudich as showing signs of intoxication and put her through field-sobriety tests, which the officer reported that she failed.

Dudich was arrested for suspicion of DUI (underage) and taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

A friend of Dudich's eventually picked her up at the .

In addition to the DUI charge, police are also charging Dudich with driving with a suspended license, failure to drive within a single lane and failure to signal while turning.
