Baldwin Borough Police Briefs (Jan. 30-Feb. 5)

Two men arrested on DUI charges.

DUI Arrest on Youngridge Drive

A officer observed a man driving erratically on Youngridge and Keeport drives in Baldwin's at around 12:43 a.m. on Jan. 31.

The officer stopped the man—Michael J. Greisler, 36, of 3444 Dawson St. in Pittsburgh's Central Oakland neighborhood—on Youngridge, and upon approaching Greisler, reported smelling an alcoholic beverage.

Greisler failed field-sobriety tests. Police arrested him for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and took him to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

Greisler was eventually released to the custody of a friend in the 5400 block of Youngridge.

In addition to the DUI charge, police are charging Greisler with failure to drive within a single lane and failure to signal while turning.

DUI Arrest on Brownsville Road

A police officer observed a man driving erratically while heading south on Brownsville Road near Sunny Drive at around 3:35 a.m. on Feb. 5.

The officer eventually caught up to the man—Jason Edward Stevens, 33, of 4104 Squires Manor Lane in South Park Township—further down on Brownsville and pulled him over in the 5400 block of that road. 

While speaking with Stevens, the officer reported smelling an alcoholic beverage.

Stevens failed field-sobriety tests. Police arrested him for suspicion of DUI and took him to Jefferson Regional for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

Stevens was eventually taken to his home and released.

In addition to the DUI charge, police are charging Stevens with careless driving and driving with an expired vehicle registration. UPDATE: The careless driving and driving with an expired vehicle registration charges were .
