When Pfefferman was pulled over, he drove into a driveway at a residence on Colewood Drive. Pfefferman said that he was dropping the passenger in his car off at that address.

The officer who pulled Pfefferman over on Colewood noticed the smell of alcohol emanating from his vehicle. The vehicle's passenger, another male, was determined by officers on the scene to not be showing any signs of intoxication.

Pfefferman failed a breath-analyzer test, and after he went through field sobriety tests, a guardian of the passenger came out of the home that the car was parked in front of. The passenger was released to that guardian, but Pfefferman's vehicle was left at the scene.

Pfefferman was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he underwent a blood test. Results from that test are pending, but Pfefferman was charged with the aforementioned underage-drinking DUI and three counts of failing to signal when turning.

After his blood was drawn, Pfefferman was transported to his residence and released to the custody of his father.

A summons process was explained to them.
