REOPENED: McNeilly Road

The popular route throughout Baldwin Township had a lengthy closure.

UPDATE (6:05 p.m.): The road has reopened.

UPDATE (3:40 p.m.): Route 88 is still closed at McNeilly Road. Water has receded, but there is about a half-inch of mud that Pennsylvania Department of Transportation crews are scraping up. Workers at a nearby Monro Muffler shop said that this is the fifth time in recent memory that this area has flooded. The workers said that, within a minute, the water rose 2 feet.

Heavy rain has led to flooding, which has caused McNeilly Road—from Route 88 to approximately Sussex Avenue—to close on Friday afternoon.
