Arrest Made in Connection to Brentwood-Carrick Robberies

'We hope to make at least one more arrest in this case, possibly more.' - Brentwood police Chief Robert Butelli

Brentwood Borough police arrested a 19-year-old man on Thursday on robbery and aggravated assault charges, according to an online court document.

Brentwood police Chief Robert Butelli said that the arrest was made as part of "a joint investigation involving the Brentwood police, the City of Pittsburgh (police) and the Baldwin (Borough) Police Deparment.

"The (charges) are regarding all the robberies and strong-armed robberies that took place in that area of Brownsville (Road), Sankey (Avenue) and Churchview (Avenue). Right in that area."

The arrested person is Khari Williams, who also faces charges of carrying a firearm without a license, dealing in the proceeds of illegal activity, recklessly endangering another person and corruption of minors, according to the court document.

"The investigation is ongoing, and we hope to make at least one more arrest in this case, possibly more," Butelli said.

Williams is in the Allegheny County Jail with bail set at $250,000, also according to the court document.
