Whitehall Borough police officers went to a home in the 5100 block of Azalea Drive at around 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 in response to a phone call in which the caller hung up on police and did not answer a return call, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said.
The officers met with the homeowner, who told them that a guest there was being combative and argumentative, Dolfi said. The homeowner also told police that the guest was ill.
A crew from Medical Rescue Team South Authority came to the home to see if medical assistance could be provided. At that time, police found a controlled substance in possession of the guest—Kelly Christine Haney, 33, of Pioneer Avenue in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood—and are charging her with that offense, according to the chief.
