Another Large Marijuana Bust in Whitehall Boro

And two other incidents involving drugs and alcohol in these borough police notes.

Search Warrant Leads to Marijuana Bust at Prospect Apartment

 police officers who went into 1821 Skyline Dr., Apt. 21, with a search warrant at around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 reported finding over a half-pound of marijuana and an assortment of drug paraphernalia there, according to  Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko.

The officers obtained a warrant for the -area apartment based on an ongoing investigation regarding drug sales originating from the residence, Danko said. Among the paraphernalia that the officers found were digital scales, smoking pipes, packaging material, U.S. currency stored inside of a plastic container, and a marijuana grinder.

Three men were inside of the apartment at the time of the search, Danko said.

Police charged tenant Julian Morris, 22, and two others—Kenneth Anderson, 19, of 1013 Imperial Dr. in South Park Township, and Clinton Webb, 20, of 207 Parkford Dr. in South Park—with a variety of offenses.

Morris was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of instruments of crime and criminal conspiracy.

Webb and Anderson were both charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.

This is the fifth major marijuana incident reported by Whitehall police in the past two months. Click here for other local police stories involving marijuana.

Another Skyline Drive Encounter

Whitehall police officers, while checking apartment buildings along Skyline at around 12:50 a.m. today (Tuesday) for anyone possibly involved with creating false fire alarms at the buildings, came across a man for questioning, Danko said.

The officers questioned the man—Paul Bailey Breisinger, 29, of 1517 Hollyrood Dr. in —regarding the fire alarms, but Breisinger was "very belligerent and confrontational," Danko said.

Danko said that Breisinger also showed signs of intoxication and was arrested soon after questioning.

He is charged with with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

Marijuana Found in Vehicle on Route 51

A motorist called 911 while traveling on Route 51 in Whitehall at around 6:03 p.m. on Wednesday to report driving behind a car with occupants appearing to be smoking marijuana inside of it.

A Whitehall police officer stopped the car in question shortly afterward in the parking lot along Route 51 and reported that its driver appeared to reach into the center console, Danko said. And the passenger appeared to reach under his seat.

The officer also detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the car, Danko said, and upon searching it, found a glass smoking pipe and a small amount of marijuana.

The driver—John Yocolano, 25, of 825 E. Main St. in Monongahela—and his passenger—Nicholas Scott Simon, 28, of 321 Meadow Ave. in Charleroi Borough—were both charged with disorderly conduct.
