Charges Dropped in Baldwin Township Pills Case

And 10 other recent court results from the township. All 11 concern drugs and/or alcohol.

The following results are from recent hearings held in the Caste Village office of Magistrate David J. Barton of District Court 05-2-17:

  • Baldwin Township police charged James Joseph Rosing, 31, of 550 Old Clairton Rd. in Pleasant Hills Borough, with possession of a controlled substance on June 10. Barton withdrew that charge on Oct. 9.

  • Baldwin Township police charged Mack McGuffey, 36, of 492 Milbeth Dr. in Mt. Lebanon, with driving under the influence of alcohol on June 3. McGuffey's July 31 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 13. His case will now be part of an Oct. 29 docket conference (UPDATE: continued to Feb. 25). That conference should result in the next legal step for McGuffey's charge.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Jared McKee, 26, of Mattern Avenue in Dormont Borough, with DUI and Lee Allen Barclay, 26, also of Mattern Avenue, with disorderly conduct and public intoxication, both on Dec. 11. McKee's Feb. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on April 9. His case was then part of a May 22 docket conference and a non-jury trial that started on Aug. 3. McKee pleaded guilty during that trial and was sentenced to complete a five-day individualized program plan and six months of probation, and was fined approximately $1,750. Barclay pleaded guilty to the public intoxication charge in front of Barton on Feb. 23, but the disorderly conduct charge was withdrawn. He was fined approximately $240.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Dana McGinnis, 42, of 2732 Crosby Ave. in Dormont, with  on July 15, 2011. McGinnis' , and she faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 30, 2011. McGinnis then had , and a . McGinnis pleaded guilty during that trial to the possession of narcotics charge and was sentenced to complete a drug & alcohol evaluation and 12 months of probation. The remaining charges were withdrawn.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Steven M. Wisniewski, 27, of 1153 Venetia Rd. in Nottingham Township, with DUI on June 2. Wisniewski's Aug. 14 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 27, where he was granted an accelerated rehabilitative disposition (ARD) hearing to begin on Nov. 30 (UPDATE: continued to April 5).

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Christopher Kasonde, 33, of Sleepy Hollow Road in Castle Shannon Borough, with DUI on March 24. Kasonde's Oct. 2 hearing before Barton was waived, and he will face that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Nov. 19.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Tracey Gross, 37, of Brevard Avenue in Brentwood Borough, with DUI on June 16. Gross' Aug. 21 hearing before Barton was waived, and she faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Oct. 4, where she was granted an ARD hearing to begin on Nov. 30.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Jeffrey Colaizzi, 30, of Vernon Avenue on the border of Brentwood and Baldwin boroughs, with DUI and possession of both a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on March 22. Colaizzi's May 8 hearing before Barton was waived, and he faced those charges at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 4. His case was then part of an Oct. 12 docket conference, which resulted in a guilty plea for the DUI charge and the withdrawal of the remaining charges. He was sentenced to four days of confinement.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Amy Tray, 38, of 3400 Margaret St. in Whitehall Borough, with DUI on May 26. Tray's July 24 hearing before Barton was waived, and she faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Sept. 6. Her case was then part of an Oct. 15 docket conference, which resulted in a guilty plea. She was sentenced to complete a 90-day individualized program plan and 18 months of probation.

 

  • Baldwin Township police charged Kristen McCracken, 39, of 857 Norwich Ave. in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, with DUI on May 6. McCracken's July 17 hearing before Barton was waived, and she faced that charge at the Allegheny County Courthouse on Aug. 29, where she was granted an ARD hearing to begin on Oct. 19. She was sentenced to 12 months of probation.
