Voelker's Football Job Posted

I just confirmed that Mike Voelker's football position was opened by Vince Sortino. From what I am being told, Head Football Coach, Pete Wagner is against this and the position was opened based on some political pressure on Sortino from a particular board member. Several longtime employees have told me that this hasn't happened where the Athletic Director went against the head coaches recommendation. Coach Wagner can interview candidates for the position that was opened by the athletic director and Voelker may reapply. Voelker's position is the only football position that was opened up within the district.
