Also frustrating

is the "new replies" bell at the top of the page.  I am puzzled as to how this feature works.  I clear my cache and temp files every time I close the internet.  I also logged out the last time I was on the site earlier this morning.  Yet it still says I have 2 new replies.  I go to click my "new replies" and sadly the last reply is STILL Tom Barchfield complaining about the school board being mean to him.
