Baldwin-Whitehall Theater Community Loses Antoinette Shalley, Too

Mrs. Shalley's husband, Regis, died four months earlier.

Still mourning the loss of former Baldwin High School Choral Director Dr. Regis V. Shalley (Aug. 24, 1925-March 6, 2013), the Baldwin-Whitehall community also lost Dr. Shalley's wife, Antoinette M. Shalley, on July 4.

Mrs. Shalley, of Jefferson Hills Borough, died peacefully on Thursday at the age of 84 with her family at her side, according to her obituary on the John F. Slater Funeral Home website.

"Toni" (born Aug. 2, 1928) was a graduate of Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh and was a retired teacher of the West Jefferson Hills School District.

Friends will be received on Monday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the Slater Funeral Home in Brentwood Borough. A funeral prayer will also be held at Slater's on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m., and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church in Baldwin Borough at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the Shalleys suggest that contributions be made to Saint Elizabeth's (1 Grove Pl., Pittsburgh, PA 15236) and/or to the Baldwin-Whitehall Friends of Theater Arts (P.O. Box 10985, Pittsburgh, PA 15236).
