UPDATE: Fundraiser Being Held for Whitehall Hit-and-Run Victim

Brentwood EMS, which employs Anthony Posa's father, is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on Sept. 29.

UPDATE: Tickets cost $8 per adult and $5 per child (aged 10 years and younger). Tickets will be available at the door or by calling 412-884-8740. Each dinner includes pasta, salad, bread, drink and dessert.

Whitehall Borough police are still looking for the hit-and-run culprit in an accident that badly injured new father and Carrick High School teacher Anthony Posa on Aug. 19.

Posa continues to recover at UPMC Mercy Hospital from the incident, and since he is unable to work, Brentwood Emergency Medical Services, which employs Posa's father, is organizing a fundraiser for Anthony's family to be held on Sunday, Sept. 29.

According to an email from Brentwood EMS, Anthony has no disability coverage, so "we are having a spaghetti dinner to benefit the family," including his wife, Lauren, and baby, Gianna.

The dinner will be held at the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Company (3433 Brownsville Rd., Pittsburgh PA 15227), from noon to 6 p.m. A cost per dinner has not yet been announced.

EMS officials are seeking donations toward the dinner as well as the evening's raffles, which include a "basket of cheer" among other Chinese auction prizes.

If you're able to help with any products, gift cards or monetary donations, you are asked to call 412-292-1487.

Donations can also be made to the "Anthony Posa Family Fund" at any PNC Bank location.
