Veterans Breakfast Club

The Veterans Breakfast Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to sharing veterans’ stories. There are no membership dues or requirements, and you don’t have to be a veteran to attend. Last year, over 1,200 different people attended at least one of the 32 storytelling breakfasts and trips. The events have been featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Tribune-Review, as well as on KDKA-TV and WTAE-TV News.
The VBC grew tremendously last year after attaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable non-profit status. They now have a dedicated Board of Directors and a paid part-time executive director (Todd). They were also able to hire a talented and energetic intern for the spring. Katy Bowers is a junior at Duquesne University, and she will be assisting us at some of the breakfasts and behind the scenes.
You’ll notice some changes this spring. They work hard to keep the breakfast prices as low as possible, but they finally had to raise the cost of the breakfasts in the South Hills and Penn Hills. To keep the costs low, they moved their South Hills location to Salvatore’s Banquets. As always, if you or a friend would like to attend but can’t afford it, let them know, and your breakfast will be paid for out of the Veterans Breakfast Fund.
If you have questions or would like more information, please call Todd at 412-623-9029.
