Girl Scout Sarah Jugovic is working to complete her Gold Award. Jugovic is in the process of an ambitious project called Recycling MATters, in which she is collecting used plastic bags and converting them into mats that homeless people can use. to read more about her project. Jugovic is holding a "Cutting Party" at St. Winifred Parish's Benedict Hall as part of the project. Volunteers will be cutting and preparing all of the collected plastic bags so that they can be crocheted during the winter months. Anyone interested in learning how to crochet the bags can also learn that process at this event.
