UPDATE: Southbound Route 885 Single-Lane Closures to Continue Through Nov. 4

Closures will last through Oct. 28 (UPDATE: through Nov. 4).

UPDATE: Restrictions will be limited to the time period of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays only from Oct. 21 through Nov. 4.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0 is announcing that short-term single-lane closures will occur on southbound Route 885 (Mifflin Road) at the bridge over Route 3098 (Glass Run Road) on the border of and Pittsburgh's Hays neighborhood, starting on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7 a.m.

Restrictions will be limited to the time period of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays only from Oct. 21 through Oct. 28 (UPDATE: through Nov. 4).

Crews will be improving deck joints on the bridge as part of an $8.1-million contract with Swank Associated Companies, Inc., of New Kensington, PA, for improvements on several bridges in Allegheny County.

Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns and possible delays.
