Southbound Route 885 Bridge Over Glass Run Road Reopens on Saturday

Work in Hays neighborhood affects north Baldwin Borough traffic.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0 is announcing that the bridge that carries southbound Route 885 (Mifflin Road) over Route 3908 (Glass Run Road) in Pittsburgh's Hays neighborhood will reopen to traffic on Saturday.

The bridge has been closed since May for rehabilitation and preservation improvements. Traffic will be able to use the new bridge late Saturday afternoon.

Work on the Glass Run Bridge included deck-replacement drainage and minor roadway improvements. Drainage improvements and substructure repairs will require ongoing off-peak lane closures under the bridge on Glass Run through September.
