So What's Left of Sandy for Pittsburgh?

Here is the National Weather Service's forecast through Friday night.

The worst of the "Frankenstorm" is over for the Pittsburgh region, including Baldwin Borough, Whitehall Borough and Baldwin Township, but we will continue to see plenty of rain (and some wind) over the next several days.

Here's a look at, roughly, the Baldwin-Whitehall forecast through Friday night from the National Weather Service:

  • Tuesday—Rain. High near 45. Breezy, with a northeast wind of 16 to 21 mph, decreasing to 7 to 12 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.
  • Tuesday Night—Rain. Low around 38. Southeast wind of around 8 mph, becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.
  • Wednesday—Rain. High near 44. West wind of 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.
  • Wednesday Night—Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 37. Southwest wind of around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.
  • Thursday—Showers likely, mainly before 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 46. West wind of around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.
  • Thursday Night—A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.
  • Friday—A chance of showers before 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
  • Friday Night—Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
