Forecast: 1-3 Inches of Snow Expected

The snow is expected to taper before midnight on Tuesday morning.

It could be a slippery rush hour on Monday.

The National Weather Service is predicting that a quick-moving storm will move through western Pennsylvania on Monday afternoon and evening.

Here's a look at, roughly, the Baldwin-Whitehall forecast through Tuesday afternoon from the National Weather Service:

  • Monday—Snow. High near 25. Southwest wind of 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible.
  • Monday Night—Snow, mainly before midnight. Low around 19. Southwest wind of around 5 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.
  • Tuesday—A slight chance of snow before 7 a.m., then a slight chance of snow after 3 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Calm wind becoming southwest of 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
