Provost Road Closure Expected to End This Week

The gas line work is part of the Routes 51-88 realignment project.

Gas line work has shut down Provost Road in Whitehall Borough for about a week, but Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0 safety press officer Steve Cowan said that the work is expected to be completed by the end of this week.

At that time, the closure on Provost will be lifted, Cowan said.

The gas line work is part of the Routes 51-88 realignment project, Cowan said, and soon, the work will shift to an area along Route 51 from Stewart Avenue to Route 88.
