New Humane Society Director from Baldwin Borough

David Janusek started the job on Jan. 1.

The Western Pennsylvania Humane Society is being run by a man.

David Janusek, 46, of Springdale Drive, became the society's newest executive director on Jan. 1, and Janusek tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in a Jan. 28 article that he "ha(s) the best job in the world."

Janusek has a history of working for nonprofit organizations, including the Western Pennsylvania chapter of the American Diabetes Association and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

The Humane Society has shelters on Western Avenue in Pittsburgh's Manchester neighborhood (North Side) and on Fallen Timber Road in Elizabeth Borough.
