Nearby: Long-Term Lane Closures on Route 885 Near CCAC

Project should last from Monday through November.

A $1.9-million project to improve and preserve Clairton Road (Route 885) in West Mifflin Borough will cause long-term delays on that road from Monday, May 21, through November, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0.

Beginning at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, weather permitting, lane closures will be implemented in both directions from Lebanon Church Road (also known as Route 885) to College Drive near Community College of Allegheny County-South Campus.

Crews will work on the project that includes milling and overlay of existing pavement, updating guiderails, drainage upgrades with pipe replacement, signing and pavement markings, signal upgrades, and other improvements over a 1.24-mile stretch.
