REMINDER: Christmas Tree Recycling at South Park Starting Jan. 3
The trees will be mulched and used in county parks.
Area residents can take their Christmas tree—real, not artificial—to the South Park Wave Pool parking lot from Jan. 3 through Jan. 22 to have it recycled.
The trees, collected from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during that 21-day period, will be turned into mulch that will be used in parks throughout Allegheny County.
All lights, tinsel and other decorations, as well as tree stands, must be removed from the trees prior to being dropped off.
