Traffic on Becks Run Road in north is flowing in both directions for the first time since late August.
The closure was originally expected to be lifted by the Pennsylvania American Water Company on Sept. 30, but that date was eventually pushed back to early November and then to Friday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Nov. 19.
The most recent delay was blamed on inclement weather, but crews have since completed their project.

PA American Water necessitated the closure in order to excavate across Becks Run for the installation of approximately 2,900 feet of new, 42-inch water main as part of the company’s Becks Run Pumping Station and Hays Mine Treatment Plant improvement projects.
The approximately $101-million project improves water-treatment processes and ensures that the company’s drinking water continues to comply with all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standards.
