Baldwin H.S. Grad Wins Golden Quill Award

Peters Patch Editor Andrea Bosco, originally of Whitehall, took first place for online spot/breaking news.

Peters Patch Editor , a 2006 graduate of , earned a Golden Quill Award for online spot/breaking news at a 48th Annual Golden Quill Awards ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel in Pittsburgh's Station Square on Monday night.

, associate regional editor for Western Pennsylvania Patch Region 2, and freelance writer/photographer also contributed to Bosco's winning story:

Bosco grew up on Azalea Drive in and attended from kindergarten through fourth grade. She went to  in fifth grade and from sixth through eighth grades before entering Baldwin High.

"It's an honor, at 23, to be awarded a Golden Quill among many of the city's most prestigious journalists," said Bosco, who credits her childhood inspiration for reading and writing to time spent in the .

Bosco is a 2010 graduate of Miami University (OH).
