Say Hello to the Royal Munchkin

The Dunkin' Donuts version, that is. The donut shop, including the one in Baldwin Borough, rolls out a special sweet in honor of the new heir to the British throne, George Alexander Louis.

Pittsburghers can pay tribute to His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge this week at Dunkin' Donuts, as the company rolls out its specialty Royal Munchkin in honor of the birth of Kate and William's baby boy.

"He's here, and we couldn't be more excited,” said Frankie D'Andrea, franchisee of D'Andrea Network Dunkin' Donuts.

According to Dunkin' Brands, "The Royal Munchkin, Dunkin' Donuts' newest addition to its family of Munchkin varieties, is an old-fashioned Munchkin donut hole treat gently dipped in pink, blue and white sprinkles representing traditional new baby colors."

"The news of the Royal baby boy's arrival is special to our Dunkin' Donuts family as our Dunkin' Brands' CEO and Chairman Nigel Travis, is a dual U.S. and British citizen."

The Dunkin' Donuts along Curry Hollow Road in south Baldwin Borough is selling the special Munchkins.
