Whitehall Toy Collection Ends Nov. 30

The Whitehall Public Library's collection box for children's toys has been open since Nov. 1, but it will close on Nov. 30 when Whitehall Borough's "Operation Toy Drive" wraps up for the year.
Borough officials are encouraging area residents to show their generosity this holiday season by dropping off a new, unwrapped gift for families of the military in Veterans Affairs hospitals in the Pittsburgh area.
The library's operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays; and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
