Weekly Photo Gallery: A Bald(win) Eagle

National symbol spotted near Willett Road in Baldwin Borough.

The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch wants to publish a weekly photo gallery of interesting and/or important images caught around Baldwin-Whitehall. Any photo taken from a spot in , the or the qualifies, though we'll occasionally accept photos that are right on our neighbors' borders as well.

To start this weekly gallery off, B-W Patch reader Edward Ladner submits this photo of a bald eagle (seen in the photo gallery at the right of this page). Ladner says that he snapped the photo of the eagle "as it was flying over the woods across from [his] house on Willett Road."

"I contacted the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania," Ladner says, "and they said there are one or two [bald eagles] that occasionally winter here, feeding along the rivers.
