Volunteers Needed to Plant Western PA Conservancy Community Gardens
The work of more than 13,000 volunteers from neighborhoods, schools, businesses and organizations have made it possible for communities in 20 counties to enjoy 135 gardens.
While driving in the region, have you noticed the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy's community gardens?
These gardens, which are planted by volunteers each spring, including the ones near Baldwin-Whitehall, have helped to beautify the region. According to the conservancy's website, corporate and organizational sponsorships and the work of more than 13,000 volunteers from neighborhoods, schools, businesses and other organizations have made it possible for communities in 20 counties to enjoy 135 gardens.
Volunteers are needed to help with this spring's community flower garden planting.
