Trivia Time: What Is This Place?

We will reveal the answer on Monday.

The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch has partnered with the Baldwin Historical Society to bring you a weekly trivia question that delves into our area's colorful past.

and Patty Woehler, co-presidents of the society, will write the questions and provide the pictures.

Here is this week's question:

This place (pictured) was built in late 1920. The groundbreaking was a most festive affair with a bandstand, band and all of the trimmings. A local meeting place, membership was set at 350 people with dues of $100, plus a war tax.

This club has grown over the years. What club is it, and where is it located?

Judging by the size of the building and the number of members, it is the South Hills Country Club. I think it's too big to be the Willock Social Club at that time in history. And why have something about Oakmont in the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch?

Couldn't fool most readers this week. The answer is C, the South Hills Country Club.
