Stewart-Fairhaven Closed Oct. 10-11

Columbia Gas crews will close Stewart Avenue and Fairhaven Road from 9 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 10 and 11, according to a news release from Port Authority of Allegheny County.

That area's roadway (leading to Provost and Weyman roads in Whitehall Borough) is to be milled and paved after the completion of underground gas line work. That work is related to utilities relocation for the Routes 51-88 realignment project.

In addition, small portions of Provost and Weyman will also be blocked.

Because of the closures, Port Authority is announcing the following bus detours:
