The Pennsylvania House Democratic Policy Committee will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 3, at 10 a.m. to discuss the economic impact of public transit cuts. State Reps. Daniel Deasy and Matthew H. Smith, both Democrats from Allegheny County, will co-chair the hearing.
"We have heard from many constituents on how the proposed cuts to the Port Authority will impact them," Smith said, "but the outcry from area businesses has greatly increased in recent months. They are being hit from both sides with reduced accessibility for customers and employees."

"In order for continued regional economic growth to occur, we must ensure that we have an effective and broad-reaching public transit system," Deasy said. "Hearing from local businesses and experts on how we address our mass transit crisis will be invaluable as we move forward on this crucial issue."
Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and officials from Green Tree Borough, Port Authority, the Amalgamated Transit Union, area nonprofit organizations and numerous area businesses and other properties are scheduled to testify during Thursday's hearing.
The public hearing will be start at 10 a.m. in the council chambers of the Green Tree Municipal Center at 10 W. Manilla Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15220.

Port Authority doesn't need to cut service, they need to start cutting pays for drivers. Management took a 20 percent pay cut, it is time the drivers do too.
Go check out their medical benefits and compare them to obamacare. Why don't you come see the new 2012 Bentley that my neighbor just purchased on a bus drivers salary. This was added to the BMW and Escalade that him and his wife have. Nice when your 38, have a paid off home and wife works part time at CVS and this is all done on a bus drivers salary. BTW, I'm not jealous but he loves to brag about everything he got for perks he has for being a bus driver.
My fact finder referenced the book of Luke 18:22. This is an entitlement of free will and not contractual the choice is yours. However it is final!!! Don't forget to read the fine print DAILY!!!
