Nearby: Lengthy Connor Road Improvements Begin Monday

The work will run from Route 88 to just shy of Route 19.

A popular stretch of Connor Road in Castle Shannon Borough and Mt. Lebanon will see work from Monday, June 3, through at least early August.

Traffic will be reduced to a single, temporary lane in each direction on Connor from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. Mondays through Fridays from Route 88 to Sunridge/Terrace Drive (just shy of Route 19), weather permitting.

The work will include milling and resurfacing, base repairs, drainage and guiderail upgrades, pavement markings, and other minor improvements, according to a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0 news release.

The project is included in a $2.5-million contract with The LANE Construction Corporation for improvements on several roadways in Allegheny County.

Motorists should use caution, slow down and allow extra time when traveling through the work area.
