More Routes 51-88 Work Coming Monday

Expect the work into mid-October.

Lane restrictions on Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) in Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood will continue on Monday, weather permitting, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0.

Single-lane closures will occur as needed on Route 51 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the following locations:

  • Northbound between Stewart Avenue and Maytide Street through Friday, Oct. 4. Crews from Duquesne Light Company will be trimming trees.
  • Southbound between Maytide and Glenbury streets through Friday, Oct. 18. Crews from Verizon will be installing a vault adjacent to the right-turn lane to Route 88. 

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area.
