Momsday: The Great Escape

Let someone else cook this Sunday!

Hello, moms! Are you getting ready for Easter? Ready to eat that giant chocolate bunny? I know that I am–ears first, of course!

Are you short on time this week to prepare Easter dinner for the family? Well, and the are both serving Easter brunch on Sunday.

Thee Olde Place Inn sits on Streets Run Road in  and is offering brunch and dinner buffets for Easter. Thee Olde Place will serve brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day and dinner from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Prices are $21.95 for adults and $11.95 for children ages 10 and younger. Looking for something else to do this weekend with your hubby and friends before all of Sunday's festivities?

On Saturday night, April 23, the band Alter Ego will be playing at Baldwin Borough's  on Brownsville Road, starting at 10 p.m. Alter Ego plays music from the '70s and '80s and some newer songs.

Loose Moose's special on Saturdays is a large pizza for only $4. The saloon also has really yummy "signature sandwiches" on its menu that are very affordably priced. So grab a sitter and head out for a night of fun right here in Baldwin-Whitehall!

Have you done anything for yourself yet this week? Well, what are you waiting for? Every mom needs some time to do something just for her.

For me, I've been thinking of Easter and spring and flowers this week. All of this rain is really making the flowers pop up outside, but maybe you would like some flowers for INSIDE the house. Or maybe you need flowers for an Easter gift for someone.

I like to go flower shopping at on Streets Run Road in Baldwin Borough. Chapon's always has the most gorgeous flowers for every season, and the staff there is always very helpful and knowledgeable. It is so refreshing to walk around Chapon's and look at and smell all of the beautiful flowers there.

Chapon's also sells great decorations for every season.

So why not take some time to "stop and smell the roses" there this week?

Have a great week, moms, and enjoy the holiday!
