Momsday: The Great Escape

Have you played bingo at St. Gabe's yet?!

Hello, moms. How was your week? Did you spend ? Some time talking to your friends or neighbors? Did the kids catch any lightning bugs?

I noticed last night that the cicadas are now starting to sing their summer songs in the evening. It is so peaceful to sit outside and listen to the sounds of nature all around us, while inside, the children are all fighting over the remote or complaining about how bored they are!

So, let's get out and have some time to ourselves this week, ladies!

Thursday is bingo night once again at , so call your friends and get a group together to go. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the kitchen opens at 6—that's right, no need to cook dinner! Bonus!—and the bingo starts at 7.

Check the St. Gabriel's bingo website for all of the details and price packages.

St. Gabe's also has a 50-50 drawing, so you can take a chance on some extra money to spend next week while you are out shopping, or for that book that you have wanted to pick up at the bookstore for a little mom's escape time. And it's air conditioned in there, so you can escape the heat for your night out.

The forecast for Thursday looks like the temperatures around Pittsburgh will be in the mid-90s, so go have fun chatting it up with the girls while playing bingo in the air conditioning at St Gabe's!

Need a little time out with the hubby this week? On Friday night, the band Rock-It will be playing some classic rock at , starting at 7. The cover charge is only $5, so grab a nice cold beverage to help with a hot week.

Why not hang out on someone else's patio—Legacy Lanes'—with your sweetie this week?!

But don't forget about some "you" time this week, moms! Kick the kids out of the house to play in the yard or at grandma's house for a little while, crank up the air conditioning, put in a great DVD and RELAX.

Everything will still be there for you when you get back from your time away! Even if it's just for a little while, you need it and deserve it! And dads don't really want to come home from work to frazzled moms, anyway, do they?

Thanks for reading, and have a great week!
